Who is Ava Dudani?
Ava Dudani is a jazz vocalist and jazz pianist from Boston, MA. She has recently graduated from the Boston Arts Academy at which she dual majored in jazz vocal performance, and jazz piano performance. Ava has been accepted to and is now attending Berklee College of Music. For the past two years she has been a recipient of the Berklee City Music High School Academy Scholarship in which she has been lucky enough to study under the direction of Berklee faculty including Annette Phillip and Nichelle Mungo. She has also studied piano for ten years and has had the opportunity to study privately with renowned teachers including Kevin Harris and Seugok Lee. She has attended the Berklee Five-Week Summer Performance Program during the summer of 2011 and the summer of 2012. She has competed and won numerous awards at the Berklee High School Jazz Fest, and is a recipient of the renowned City Music Scholarship which fully covers Berklee's mammoth tuition. She has participated in clinics with artists such as George Clinton and Lalah Hathaway.
Ava strives to do more than play music. She aspires to use music to create positive change in the lives of future generations of youths, just as it has in hers. Ava currently studies music education at Berklee College of Music and is accelerating forward to a fulfilling career as an independent artist and teacher. She credits her growing passion for education to her beloved teachers who have given her a powerful creative outlet that she will carry with her for the rest of her life.
